These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of fireandicehvacservices.ca (the “Website”) and the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services provided by Fire & Ice HVAC Services (“Fire & Ice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Website, requesting a quote, booking an appointment, or accepting our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or our services.

1. Our Services

We provide installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, boilers, ventilation, and indoor air quality products, in Surrey and surrounding communities in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley of British Columbia. The specific scope, price, and schedule of any job will be set out in a written quote, estimate, work order, or invoice (a “Work Agreement”). If a Work Agreement conflicts with these Terms, the Work Agreement governs.

2. Website Information

Information on the Website is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not professional advice for your specific situation. While we try to keep content accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that it is complete, current, or error-free, and we may change it at any time without notice.

3. Quotes and Estimates

• Quotes are based on the information available at the time and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• Prices may change if conditions differ from what was reasonably expected — for example, hidden damage, code deficiencies, inaccessible equipment, or a change in scope requested by you. We will discuss any additional costs with you before proceeding.
• Applicable taxes (GST/PST), permit fees, and disposal fees are extra unless included in the quote.

4. Appointments, Cancellations, and Access

• Appointment times are estimates; delays can occur due to weather, traffic, emergencies, or parts availability.
• Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. A trip or service call fee may apply to missed appointments or late cancellations.
• You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area and equipment, and to ensure that an adult (18+) is present during the visit unless otherwise arranged.
• You confirm that you own the property or are authorized by the owner to approve the work.

5. Payment

• Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Deposits may be required for equipment orders and installations.
• Overdue balances may be charged interest at 2% per month (26.8% per year), and we may recover reasonable collection costs.
• Equipment remains our property until paid in full. We may file a claim of lien under the Builders Lien Act (BC) for unpaid amounts.

6. Warranties

• Manufacturer warranties on equipment and parts are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to its terms, including any registration and maintenance requirements.
• Workmanship warranty: we warrant our workmanship for the period stated in your Work Agreement. If no period is stated, our workmanship is warranted for one (1) year from completion.
• Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, lack of regular maintenance, power surges, acts of nature, or repairs or modifications made by others.

7. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for following the operating and maintenance instructions provided for your equipment, including changing filters and scheduling regular maintenance. If you smell gas or suspect a carbon monoxide leak, leave the building immediately and call 9-1-1 and FortisBC’s emergency line at 1-800-663-9911.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fire & Ice will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of income, or costs of temporary heating or cooling, arising from our services or the Website. Our total liability for any claim relating to a job will not exceed the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under British Columbia’s Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or other laws that cannot be excluded.

9. Use of the Website

You agree not to use the Website for any unlawful purpose, to submit false information, to interfere with the Website’s operation or security, or to send spam or malicious content through our forms. All content on the Website — including text, logos, photos, and graphics — belongs to Fire & Ice or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.

10. Third-Party Links

The Website may link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, or practices.

11. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Work already agreed to will continue to be governed by the Terms in effect when the Work Agreement was accepted.
